The University of Pennsylvania's Abramson Cancer Center has formed a large specialty clinic staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of highly-qualified physicians. Its Neuroendocrine Tumor Clinic will be integrated into the larger clinic providing accessibility to all of Penn's resources for NET/Carcinoid patients. Some of our group's long-term patients are already familiar with Dr. David Metz (gastroenterologist), Dr.Michael Soulen (interventional radiologist) and Dr. Douglas Fraker (NET specialist surgeon) who are spearheading the project which consists of close to twenty-five hand-picked medical personnel.
If you'd like to speak to the patient advocate, call 267 288 5642 (Suzi Garber) or email
info@phillycarcinoid.org. She can connect you with other NET patients and is one herself. The intake and practice nurse coordinator is Bonnie Bennett, RN, BSN. Bonnie works closely with our support group and is as enthusiastic about the clinic as the director of our group, Suzi Garber. Bonnie's direct telphone line is
215-349-5562.
